Laporta reveals Barcelona board paid €10m from their pockets to register Kounde after players rejected paycut

In his speech at Barcelona's General Assembly, club president Joan Laporta has shared an interesting revelation.

"With 867 million from activating the levers, the League said it was still not enough to Register Kounde. The board endorsed 10 million euros to register him. Mateu Alemany also participated in this operation".

The club asked certain players to reduce their salaries to be able to register Jules Kounde but the players refused. So Laporta, Alemany and other board members paid €10m from their own pocket to carry out the registration of the Frenchman.
