After scoring his first goal in a pre-season outing for Barcelona, Raphinha has made a loaded statement.
Quoted by ESPN, the former Leeds winger said: "I am very happy with my first goal for Barca.
"Of course, I would also like to score against [Real] Madrid, I think we are better than them."
Real Madrid won La Liga as well as the Champions League last season in style. Barca failed to keep up because of financial restrictions that prompted them to let go of Lionel Messi.
However, Barcelona have made big moves this summer by signing Raphinha and wrapping up a deal for Robert Lewandowski.
