Hall Of Famers

Winning the Super Bowl is never an easy task to accomplish. You need to be cut from a different cloth to make it through. The difficulty arises due to the complexity and the total corpus of the teams that compete for that one title. As of 2023, 32 teams compete against each other in order to prove their dominance. In fact, the competition is so tough that 12 of the 32 teams have never enjoyed the success of winning a Super Bowl.

So today, in celebration of all the best teams of the NFL. We will look at some of the best Nfl Teams of all time in order to find that one true best NFL team of all time. But mind you, we do not value judging any team at all. In fact, we believe that each of the teams discussed here is best in their own respect. So, let us dive right in.

1998 Denver Broncos

This year, the Broncos had a total of nine Pro Bowlers in their arsenal. At least seven of them were assigned to the offense and three to the defense. Sports journalists at that time believed that the team was an all-out top-ten fest in all sense of the phrase. Each of the players in the 1998 Broncos lineup was some of the best. However, the star of the show was none other than jersey number 30, Davis. Sources suggested that Davis, in that season, averaged around 125.5 yards per game, around 5 yards each carry. Subsequently, Davis scored 23 touchdowns that season for the Broncos.

1992 Dallas Cowboys

Whether it is the offensive play or the defensive one, the ‘92 Cowboys were phenomenal on both sides. Spectators who saw the team performing this season recollected that the team was just elite on both sides of the play. Making them one of the finest all-rounded teams on the list. In fact, to this date, the Cowboys have the best NFL records of all-time, in defense as well as offense. Therefore, it should not come as a surprise that the team ended its phenomenal streak with a championship. Cowboys is a worthy contender for the best NFL team of all time title, but definitely one of the members of the best NFL teams ever club.

1999 St. Louis Rams

What would you call a team that has approximately 58% more points than the total league average? The elites. This singular feat is something that is still unmatched to this day. Whoever witnessed Rams play in the 1999 NFL would agree that it was the worst football team to be going up against without any sort of defensive counterattack strategies in your arsenal. Unlike the offensive play of the team, the defensive play is not appreciated that much. Still, they managed to hold on to their own and went on to biome legends in the annals of NFL history. Kurt Wagner was the breakthrough star for the Rams that season. From there, he went on to become one of the greats of American football.

1975 Pittsburgh Steelers

This year, the Pittsburg team had approximately around 11 Pro Bowlers and at least three All-Pros. The team reached the height of greatness solely because of the versatility and the richness of the talent it housed. What the 1999 Rams were to the offense, the 1975 Steelers were to the defense. In the total season that year, the Steelers intercepted 27 passes while only letting nine passing touchdowns. It is an impressive feat to achieve. The offense was not too shabby as well, the Terry Bradshaw-led crew was fairly tactical and efficient in their own rights.

1989 San Francisco 49ers

The 1989 49ers was a star show. Some of the best and most wanted players of the league played in the team that year. Some of the prominent names of the 49ers include Joe Montana, Roger Craig, Steve Young, Jerry Rice, and Ronnie Lott. After the season, Rice, Lott, and Montana were awarded the All-Pro honors. Therefore, this is definitely, a team that needs to be considered for the best NFL team of all time title. The team was known for being an offensive juggernaut that could maul down any team.

1991 Washington Commanders

1991 Washington Commanders need to receive more love than they are subjected to. The reason why it is not seen as one of the best teams ever in that season is largely because of its modern-day counterpart. The 1991 team had around two Pro Bowlers, and one of them was CB Darell Green, a worthy contender for being one of the greatest defensive backs to have ever played in the NFL. The 1991 team was known for their offensive magic, and this is largely due to the two explosive 1,000-yard receivers they had in their arsenal.

End Note

There you have it. These were all of the names that can be classified as  ‘best NFL team ever.’ All of the teams listed here were from the Golden era of American football, where the game encapsulated the true essence of America. So, in celebration of these kings, we dedicate this list of all the brightest names of the game.
