Amidst all the fun and games, the hardest thing that any sporting fan can go through is to see a talented player fade into oblivion. And the recent addition to that list is Brandon Hunter. A former Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic player, Brandon died at the age of 42 years of age. It is a fairly young age to leave, but death comes to all of us when it wants, and not the other way around.

Hunter was a standout player in high school basketball in his home state of Cincinnati. Hunter was one of the star players for the Bobcats. During his time, the team won the first of their three All-MAC conferences. He also led his team in rebounding in his senior season. And soon enough, Hunter became the 56th pick of the 2003 NBA draft.

Career Stats  

Over the course of his engagement with the association, Hunter Played close to 67 games in over two seasons. His career high ranges at 17 points against the Milwaukee Bucks back in 2004.

Apart from his extensive NBA career that is not only memorable but filled with a lot of ups and downs, he is also one of the few basketball players who had a commendable career overseas as well. From the period of 2006 to 13, Hunter played for a lot of international clubs like Italy, Puerto Rico, Greece, etc.

The news of Hunter’s death was broken by his coach and friend Jeff Boals. Boals took to the internet to share the veteran’s death with a short and crisp message. As for the cause of death, that is still unconfirmed.

Since there is not a lot of information regarding the former Orlando Magic star’s death, fans, and internet sleuths suspect foul play. However, without any further evidence, the claim cannot be substantiated.
