“It Don’t Matter What I’m Doing Out Here.” Iman Shumpert Felt Hopeless In A Game Against The Late Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant was one of the most decorated players of his time. He was ruthless on the court and a softy outside it. After the fateful accident which killed the basketball legend, many NBA players shared their experiences with him. Fans and colleagues of Kobe still reminisce about him and unanimously agree that Kobe left a positive influence on the game.

Recently, a former NBA star opened up about his encounter with Kobe and Paul Gasol. In a recent podcast, former NBA star Iman Shumpert went candid and talked about the Black Mamba’s competitiveness.

He discussed how Kobe acted like a possessed person as he brought out the competitive side of himself. Shumpert revealed, “I looked that man in the eyes and realized like he don’t see me. Yeah, something is different. Yeah, he just clocked out he’s like, it don’t matter what I’m doing out here. Like I’m just a cone you know what I’m saying.”

He further continued, “He went through the double split it this what blew me G. Picture you cut a move off, he shot faked it, showed it, split the double, threw that b**ch off the glass, and then kicked it to the corner and Pau Gasol hit a jump shot.”

This story reminded fans of what mamba mentality truly is. Kobe was known to be a happy-go-lucky in real life, However, as soon as he stepped in the ring, he was a completely different man. Shumpert said Kobe saw him as a mere cone and was fixated on the ball.

Kobe did not care what Shumpert was doing, as he was just calculating his moves. And as soon as Shumpert let up for a second, the Black Mamba struck. This shows the intelligence and presence of mind Kobe possessed, which made him a true legend. Keep following our page for more such sports-related content.
