A history of 63 years came to a halt with the closing of Bandimere Circuit.

Bandimere Speedway hosted its final race this week. This brought tears to several racers as it played an iconic role in their career. Leah Pruett was one of them. Winner of Seven times Top Fuel National Event, Pruett started her career in this very track. Even though she did not manage to bag a victory in the last hosted race by Bandimere Tracks, she seemed to have been quite bereft and emotional about the last race.

Fans extended heartfelt support to Pruett as she was making her speech and expressing his guilt of not being able to win this iconic race. This shows what true fandom looks like. They stood by Pruett in this emotionally taxing moment and never left her side. This is why it is true when someone says that ‘fans are the life source of an athlete.’

For a few weeks now, Pruett has been very vocal about her race and the closing of the Bandimere Speedway circuit. In a recent social media post, Pruett is seen reminiscing her times in the Bandimere Speedway. She even lamented about the fact that she lost the final hosted by the circuit.

The history of this circuit goes back 63 years, when John Bandimere  Sr. bought a small patch of land in the rough rocky terrains of the Rocky Mountain, Denver. With the help of his family, Bandimere was successful in creating a small drag-race strip in an attempt to increase their auto parts business venture. Subsequently, the Bandimere Speedway was born. Over the course of 63 years, this trip has undergone several changes. It has also been the debut circuit for several racers. Therefore, it is obvious why Leah Pruett is emotional about the closing of the circuit.

The official account of the track made its way into Leah’s comment section and said, “Thank you so much for all your love and support. [Heat emoji] Always a pleasure having you visit the Mountain.” And on that not, and era came to an end for racing enthusiasts. Follow this page for more such news.
