The Indian cricket team will play a limited overs series against South Africa and Australia before the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. India will host a T20I series of 3 matches against both the teams, while an ODI series of equal number of matches against South Africa.
The three-match T20 series between India and Australia will begin in Mohali from September 20. Its second and third matches will be played in Nagpur on 23 September and in Hyderabad on 25 September. After this, the Indian team will play T20I matches against South Africa in Trivandrum (September 28), Guwahati (October 1) and Indore (October 3). Also, the three-match ODI series will be played in Ranchi on 6 October, Lucknow on 9 October and Delhi on 11 October.
“We will be hosting three T20I matches each against South Africa and Australia before moving to the T20 World Cup,” BCCI President Sourav Ganguly told reporters after the board’s apex council meeting on Thursday.
