These are some key players, and trading them might be a bit tricky and gamble as well. But why should the Yankees even consider trading these three players? As per Sportskeeda, Luis Gil is still playing for the NY side because Gerrit Cole is out for almost two months with a right elbow inflammation. Moreover, the Yankees did not plan for Gil to be a member of their roster. But the hurler has exceeded all the expectations as he filled in for the NY side’s ace pitcher. Currently, Gil has a 3-1 record. He has posted a 2.92 ERA after pitching 37 innings so far. Hence, now he is a good prospect that the Yankees can use to trade for some prospects of fielding positions.

Then, there is Trent Grisham, who came to New York with the Juan Soto trade from San Diego. Currently, Aaron Boone’s side has a surplus number of outfielders. The contract for the 27-year-old Texan expires at the end of this season. Hence, the Yankees can use Grisham to land talents in other areas. Last but not least, the Designated Hitter, Giancarlo Stanton, has been a key member of the NY side for a while now. However, he had the worst season of his career last year. The situation with Stanton at the NY team is a bit peculiar. Currently, the Yankees are trying to make a deal around $100 million for Stanton. They can trade the former MVP to his former club, the Miami Marlins, in exchange for another hitter.
Postseason Can Be Very Tricky
