Why Max Verstappen Believes Singaporean GP Is Not Going To Be Easy For Red Bull?

So far in the 2023 Formula One season, Max Verstappen had it pretty. He has won 12 races already and had 14 podium finishes so far. The worst Verstappen had performed this season was on a couple of occasions when he finished at P2. That’s how good the season has been for the Dutchman. Moreover, he broke multiple records this season and is on the verge of breaking many more. If Red Bull maintains their hegemony the way they have been doing so far, then the Austrian team can become the first team to win all races in a single season.

However, both Red Bull drivers have expressed concerns over the next race in Singapore as it will be another street circuit. Both Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez warned their team of the difficulties they could face in Singapore to maintain the streak. The Miltom-Keynes based team has won 15 races in a row, stretching back to the last season. But Verstappen has recently issued a warning that the Singaporean GP can end the dream run for Red Bull.

In a post-race press conference after winning the race in Monza, Max Verstappen mentioned that it would be a tough challenge for the team in Singapore. As per the current world champion, it won’t be the strongest weekend for the Austrian team. Later, Sergio Perez concurred with his teammate that starting from the front row on the final race day is important for any team or driver.

Both Verstappen and Checo feel that anything can happen in the Singaporean Grand Prix that is just in another two week’s time. However, they are also hopeful that they can repeat what their team has been doing so far. On the other hand, rival team boss Toto Wolff mentioned Red Bull is on their way to winning all races. And if they actually do it, it would be perfection. Hence, it will be really good for the sport.

Max Verstappen can become the first F1 driver to win 20 races in a season. Anyway, the current double-time champion is the first to win 15 races in a season, which he did last year. However, it won’t take much more time for Max to become a three-time world champion. It has been a wonderful ride so far for the Red Bull team. They have done an excellent job building the fastest car on the grid. Now, every other team is trying to copy the RB19’s design.

Moreover, the brain of Adrian Newey and the engines from Honda have been successful in building RB19. It is the most supreme car on the grid in recent times. On the other hand, other teams are struggling to build a fast car on a limited budget. There are a few teams fighting for the second place, like Mercedes, Aston Martin, and Ferrari. However, McLaren, too, has showed vast improvement after copying the Red Bull’s side pod design. But still, no team has yet beaten Red Bull this season.
