Draymond Green Confused To Join Either LeBron James Or Steph Curry Amid Revealing His Love For The Lakers Ace

Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green always openly claims his love for LeBron James. In the case of the GOAT debate, Green always votes for his ‘big brother’ James. However, the former has been an integral part of the Warriors since the last decade. The squad is the modern-day basketball dynasty that has won four championships in nine years.

The DubNation last won the championship in the 2021-22 season, and they were the defending champions last season as well. However, in Round 2 this year, the Los Angeles Lakers, under the leadership of LeBron James, knocked out the Warriors big time. Fans are also aware that the King and the Warriors have had an epic rivalry for the last decade. Even after all this fierce rivalry, Draymond Green has a lot of respect for LeBron James.

In a recent interview on the podcast, Podcast P, Green mentioned that his and James’ relationship has never been tighter. In the podcast interview, Draymond Green mentioned, “The only thing changing in our relationship is that it keeps growing.” Moreover, in the offseason, Draymond Green signed a four-year contract worth $100 million with the Golden States Warriors. It means the 33-year-old will remain part of the Dub Nation for the remaining years of his career.

However, people keep speculating about James-Green’s on-court rivalry. In reply, Draymond Green mentioned on the podcast, “People should know that the dichotomy of our on-court rivalry and off-court brotherhood does not concern them. Hence, they do not need to think about it too much.” Moreover, Green said James is like a big brother to him, and he loves him to death. But Draymond Green told Paul George that there is a different mindset when he steps on the court.

Draymond Green Describes The Two Opposite Mindsets On & Off The Court

First of all, there are no friends in the opposition team on the court. Hence, he can be as aggressive on the court as possible. But there is a thin line that he won’t cross anymore. Moreover, Green mentioned that in the past, he used to step on the court with the ‘I hate You’ mindset. But that attitude ruined a lot of friendships, and he did not like it anymore. Later, as he gained maturity, he learned how to separate the two mindsets on and off the court. Draymond Green knows as he and his ‘big brother’ goes deeper into the twilight of their career, the on-court rivalry will end very soon. Then the off-court brotherhood will only remain constant and hopefully forever.

When LeBron James used to be part of the Cleveland Cavaliers, Draymond Green and Stephen Curry for the Golden States Warriors met him four times consecutively in the NBA Finals from 2015 to 2018. The King led the Cavaliers to four NBA Finals in a row but won only in 2016. Otherwise, Green and Curry enjoyed success over James winning the title three times. Later, James moved to Los Angeles Lakers in 2018. Since then, the Warriors only managed to win the title last year. For the first time, LeBron James for the Lakers met the Warriors in the playoffs, and he won 4-2.
