And the Yankees have full-fledged looking for some fascinating options from the free agency market. Lately, the Yankees have reportedly inquired about some young outfielders from the Diamondbacks. And looks like a name has come out of the shell: Daulton Varsho.

In the 2022 MLB season, Daulton Varsho finished with the eighth-highest fWAR. Not only that, he had the ninth-most home runs among all full-time outfielders in the MLB. In 151 games last year, the Diamondback outfielder achieved 592 PA, along with 27 HR, 74 RBI, 16 SB, 106 wRC+, and 4.6 fWAR. On top of that, the 26-year-old has given in full to become a dead-pull hitter from the left side. And that is why the stats were enough to catch the Yankees’ eyes.

Astros Looking Forward To Steal Varsho

This offseason, the Houston Astros has been hounding the Yankees’ possible prospects like crazy. They had big eyes on Anthony Rizzo, planning to name him their top first-base option for the next season. Also, they are adamantly checking on Bombers star Andrew Benintendi., who still needs to confirm his team for the next year. And now, as per the reports, the Astros are also in talks to offer Daulton Varsho.
