Christian Horner In Talks To Replace Mattia Binotto In Ferrari? Scuderia Sent Proposal To Red Bull Chief

Mattia Binotto, who has been guiding the Scuderia team as the chief for 28 years, left the company this week. Probably he was degrading himself by taking all the responsibility for Ferrari’s downfall, which led him under pressure. Eventually, leading to his surrendering from Ferrari. The team was already struggling with apparently a less-paced F1-75, and now another big issue arose. Now, Ferrari needs another boss for next year as Mattia resigned. Reports say that Ferrari has spoken to several deserving figures from the F1 paddock, including Red Bull’s boss Christian Horner.

Now, everyone is curious to know what Christian Horner‘s response was. According to some of the reports, Ferrari went to discuss the new principal role’s proposal with the present Red Bull principal even before Mattia Binotto announced his resignment plan. However, only rejections came into the hands of Ferrari. It is reasonable that Christian Horner, the boss of the most dominating team of Formula One this year, would never accept the offer to change his position in a team that has lost its identity at this time.

Currently, the most recent development in ‘who will become Ferrari’s principal’ is the Alfa Romeo’s chief, Frederic Vasseur. Reportedly, he had been under consideration for Mattia’s replacement. However, so far, Vasseur has not signed any deal as of now. He was the one who brought Charles Leclerc to Ferrari. And, if he becomes the new chief, most likely, Leclerc will become the alpha driver of the team.

Ferrari Got Rejected By All The Considerations Made To Replace Mattia Binotto

Ferrari finished the 2022 season with a runner-up pride in both championships. In the constructors, it stands behind Red Bull but ahead of Mercedes. Also in the driver’s standings, Ferrari’s star, Leclerc, succeeded in clinching the second position after a tough battle with the Red Bull driver, Sergio Perez. However, this was never the goal of the Scuderia team.

The team holds the dignity and record for being the most monarchial team of F1. It once dominated the sport for years, and the team dreams of that again every day. Ferrari was aiming to secure the world title initially in the season as Leclerc won three of the starting races and Carlos Sainz secured his maiden win. But then F1-75 lost its pace and became weaker. Though it generated a supreme peak but failed to beat the RB18.

In the mid of the season, Mattia Binotto put a halt to bringing updates in F1-75 as the team had already reached the ceiling of the budget provided to them. This costed the team to become weaker in front of Red Bull, who made the strongest car ever, even under the new regulations. Mattia Binotto was in a contract with Ferrari to be the team’s boss till 2023. But, for the team’s downfall this season, he felt responsible. Apparently, Binotto lost the confidence to serve a churn team for another year and thus decided to resign, despite a year remaining in the deal.

Now, team Ferrari is boss-less; no one yet has been confirmed to Replace Mattia Binotto. It is not Christian Horner neither, Toto Wolff, or Zack Brown; Ferrari went to everyone with the offer but got rejected. Let’s see who dares to lead the Scuderia Ferrari for the 2023 Formula One season and beyond.
