Gabriel Magalhaes Praises Partnership with William Saliba, Though Admits Arsenal Defender’s Games Occasionally Prompt Expletives”

The defensive duo of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba has been pivotal under manager Mikel Arteta, solidifying Arsenal’s backline and elevating them into title contention.

While their partnership has been lauded, Magalhaes acknowledges that Saliba’s play can sometimes lead him to exclaim profanities during matches.

Last season, the pair played a crucial role in Arsenal’s pursuit of the Premier League trophy, narrowly missing out to Manchester City.

However, this season, Arsenal finds themselves once again in contention for the title, currently occupying the top spot in the table with 10 fixtures remaining in the campaign.

Speaking ahead of the showdown against Pep Guardiola’s champions on March 31, Gabriel has opened up about his relationship with fellow Gunners star Saliba.

‘We speak the same language,’ Gabriel told Stadium Astro. ‘I am Brazilian but I speak French.

‘On the pitch, the communication is very important.

We are good friends and sometimes I need to say, ‘Ah Saliba! F*** sake!’ – he’ll say it to me as well.

‘It’s good for us. He understands me and I understand him.’

Saliba, meanwhile, quizzed about his partnership with Gabriel, said: ‘I love him, he loves me. It’s easy to play with him!’

In the same interview, Gabriel and Saliba also named Arsenal star Jorginho as the player in Arteta’s squad who would be most likely to one day enter management.
