Franck Ribery’s Departure From Salernitana Eyeing Bayern Munich Return

Franck Ribery’s departure from Salernitana suggests a potential role as a youth coach at Bayern Munich next season.

Transfer pundit Gianluca Di Marzio reveals that Ribery declined an offer to join Stefano Colantuono’s staff for the remaining nine games of the season and has opted to stay in Germany with his family instead.

Ribery joined Salernitana’s coaching staff after retiring in 2022, following a final playing season at the Stadio Arechi.

As a former French international, he amassed five goals in 74 Serie A appearances for Fiorentina and Salernitana.

Reports suggest that Ribery could take on a coaching role with Bayern Munich‘s youth team for the 2024-25 season.

Recently, Salernitana appointed Colantuono to succeed Fabio Liverani.

This marks Colantuono’s third stint at the Stadio Arechi and the fourth managerial change for Granata in the 2023-24 season.

Struggling at the bottom of the Serie A table, Salernitana prepares for their upcoming match against Bologna on April 1st.

Franck Ribery left Bayern Munich in 2019 after spending 12 seasons at the club. During his time there, he made a total of 425 appearances and scored 124 goals in all competitions.
