Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana is excited, confident and focused, as he prepares for the clash against Bayern Munich but urged his team mate to be calm and United as better day will come.

Erik ten Hag sides have lost two of five matches in the Premier League and sit 13th in the table.

They turn their focus to the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday evening as they start their Group A campaign against Bayern Munich.

While there has been increased scrutiny over United after their results over the last month, summer signing Onana is not worried.

Onana said:

“I know we will come back stronger.”

“Because we are a big club and are used to past situations like this, and Manchester United have faced worst situations than what we are facing now.

“We have to be calm and united. We have to be positive and together because we have good players and we are used to this kind of situation and that’s why we are here.

“I know everything will be alright when I see how we train and how we play and the chemistry of the group.

I have no doubt everything will be alright.”
United are back in the Champions League after missing out on qualification last season.

“We are Manchester United and we have to go for every single title and fight for everything.

“Of course, this season didn’t start good, but we will come back because we are big players and we are used to difficult situations and I am very confident.

I know everything will get in the right way.”
United come into the fixture against Bayern on the back of successive 3-1 defeats to Arsenal and Brighton.

“It’s a difficult situation but this is part of life and part of football.

“We are together and this is the most important thing. I am very confident saying this period will pass and better days will come.”
