West Ham in talks over signing “really quick” AC Milan player

West Ham are looking to strengthen their team after achieving their first-ever European trophy last season. Despite their victory in the Europa Conference League final, former star Declan Rice has left the club.

The 24-year-old Rice recently completed a British record transfer to Arsenal, moving for £105 million, making him the most expensive English player in history.

On the positive side, the sale of Rice has provided West Ham with a significant financial windfall that they plan to use in this summer’s transfer market.

The club is currently exploring Potential replacements and has been linked to midfielders such as Conor Gallagher, Denis Zakaria, Leon Goretzka, and Scott McTominay.

Additionally, West Ham is also interested in strengthening their forward options, with Michail Antonio and Danny Ings being linked to potential departures. Players like Armando Broja from Chelsea and Origi from Milan are among those rumored to be potential signings.

Reports suggest that West Ham is in talks with Milan to sign Origi, but they face competition from Turkish Super Lig team Galatasary.

Milan is actively trying to find a new club for the 28-year-old striker due to his high wages, which have deterred potential suitors.

Despite being left out of Milan’s US pre-season tour, Origi seems reluctant to leave the San Siro. However, West Ham remains engaged in discussions with Milan over a potential move for the attacker.

Origi has a proven track record with 41 goals and 18 assists in 175 appearances for Liverpool, and he has also represented Belgium at international tournaments. His potential availability from Milan may indicate a reasonable price for West Ham to secure his services.

Origi could be a valuable rotational option in case Antonio or Ings depart. His qualities as a player and his positive character, which has been praised by his former manager Jurgen Klopp, could also add value to West Ham’s dressing room.

“He’s a positive person. He is talented, he shoots left and right, he is really quick, in the air – he is a monster. He is an interesting package,” Klopp said.

“His skillset is a special thing – he can come in and play brilliantly. The biggest game in our history against Barcelona in 2019, he started and he was incredible.

“In specific moments, Divock is absolutely outstanding and everybody was really happy on Saturday. It’s a nice story.”
