Former England striker Michael Owen has revealed that Harry Kane made the wrong decision to Join Bayern Munich last summer.

Recall that the England international joined the Bavarians in search of trophies but will end up the season without one.

Speaking with Daily Mirror, Owen stated that Kane should have exercised patient with Tottenham before making his move to the former Bundesliga champions.

"When he first moved to Bayern, I thought it was a really bad thing to do. You could have interviewed me three or four months ago and I would have said wow, that was a fantastic prediction, look how far behind they are in the Bundesliga," he told the Daily Mirror.

"I think and still believe that it was wrong. I left Liverpool to go to Real Madrid and that team was as average a team as it has been for the last 25 years. Then they went and won the Champions League.

"He was close to being the top goalscorer of all time, a really exciting Spurs team that with him in it would be in the top four. He would now be four games away from being a Bosman player and doing what he wants."
