Atletico Madrid captain Koke has declared his readiness to end his football career with the Club.

Koke recently penned a deal with Diego Simeone's club that will expire in 2025.

Speaking with the club's official website, the Spanish international stated that Atletico is his life.

"It is the golden period of the club. I had many opportunities to leave here, my home, and I didn't want to. How could I leave at the best moment, the one when you have the most fun? Although you have to be present in the most difficult moments, you must also know how to enjoy the good ones.

"It's an enormous pride to be able to be the captain of Atletico in such a beautiful moment. I was able to repay Miguel Ángel Gil and the club for the great effort they made for me when I was just a cadet.

"More than a memory, I am left with my teammates: Gabi, Juanfran, Godín, Simeone, the people... I want to return to Neptuno with the fans. We have reached a good agreement for both parties to be able to stay here practically until the day I retire. Atleti is my life "
