Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem believes the senior national team will get better and stronger under interim coach, Finidi George.

He made this remark after the team's impressive 2-1 victory against the Black Stars of Ghana in an international friendly on Friday at the Grand Stade de Marrakech, Morocco.

Nigeria’s goals were scored by Cyriel Dessers and Ademola Lookman, with Jordan Ayew finding the net for Ghana.

Speaking after the game, Awaziem noted that the Super Eagles will get better under Finidi ahead of their clash against Mali on Tuesday.

“We aim for a comparable outcome as against Ghana.”

He added, “We will return even stronger, addressing the mistakes from the previous game to build a more robust and effective team.”
