Boniface Bags 4th Europa League Goal In Leverkusen’s Away Win

Victor Boniface scored his fourth goal in the Europa League this season as Bayer Leverkusen beat Haecken 2-0 in Group H on Thursday night.

Boniface has taken his tally in all competitions for the season to 12.

Also in action for Leverkusen was Nathan Tella, who was taken off in the 64th minute.

Boniface opened the scoring on 14 minutes while substitute Patrik Schick got the second on 74 minutes.

The win took Leverkusen to 15 points which guarantees top spot.

At Anfield, Liverpool thrashed LASK 4-0 in Group E to seal first spot.

A brace from Cody Gakpo and goals from Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz secured the win for the Reds.

LASK are bottom with three points and now have to win their last group game to be in the Europa Conference League.

Austrian-born Nigerian goalkeeper, Tobias Lawal, kept goal for LASK.

Former 36 Lions FC winger Moses Usor featured while George Bello, who now plays for the US men’s senior national team, was also in action.

Meanwhile, Muhamed Tijani was on target for Slavia Prague, who beat FC Sheriff 3-2 away.

Tijani netted a 95th minute penalty to secure the three points for his side.

Slavia Prague go top on 12 points while Roma are second on 10 points.
