Casemiro has been ruled out of Manchester United's Premier League Clash with Sheffield United.

The 30 year old picked up an ankle injury in Brazil's 1-1 draw with Venezuela at the Arena Pantanal .

The midfielder was replaced by Andre 11 minutes from time.

The 2019 Copa America winner is still in Brazil as he works his way back to full fitness.

It is uncertain at this point the duration of the injury or how long he will be out of action for.

According to manutd.com, he is expected back at Carrington next week to resume training.

Casemiro will miss United's UEFA Champions League clash against FC Copenhagen at Old Trafford on Tuesday due to suspension.

However trio of Sergio Reguillon, Sofyan Amrabat and Rasmus Hojlund are back in action as they trained with the squad today.

Casemiro has scored one goal in eight Premier League appearances for the Red Devils.

The Brazilian also has two goals in two Champions League matches this campaign.

Manchester United are 10th position on the Premier League standings with 12 points after eight matches.
