The Nigerian international who is still yet to recover from injury, has made one appearance in the league this season.

Hoffenheim took the lead in the 1st minute through Kramaric before Grillitsch extended their lead in the 28th minute.

The visitor made it 3-0 in the 58th minute through Beier's well taking shot to silence the home supporters.

However, Freiburg netted a consolation in the 61st minute through Selke.

The win means Hoffenheim move 5th on nine points while Freiburg sit 16th on one point.
