Zlatan Was Too Harsh –Pogba

Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba has described Sweden legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic as a harsh leader when they were teammates

Pogba and Ibrahimovic were teammates at Premier League club Manchester United between 2016 and 2018.

In an interview with aljazeera.com, Pogba said the motivational style deployed by Ibrahimovic was rather tough.

"I saw different kinds of leaders," Pogba said

"I saw Zlatan (Ibrahimovic) he was a harsh leader. He wanted you to win and he said it in a harsh way. Some people liked it and some didn't. It could bring you up or down. With Zlatan, you needed to be strong mentally. Michael Jordan- style."

Ibrahimovic announced his retirement from football in June 2023 at the age of 41.

He scored 570 career goals and he scored in each of the last four decades.

He won 34 trophies and he played for AC Milan, Inter Milan, Ajax, Malmo, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Manchester United, Juventus and LA Galaxy.
