In preparation for the highly anticipated Penang Bridge International Marathon 2023, the Penang Bridge will experience temporary closure on 17 December 2023, from 12:00 am to 10:00 am. The closure aims to ensure the safety and smooth execution of the marathon, which is expected to attract participants from around the globe.
During the specified closure period, all vehicles are advised to utilise the Sultan Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah Bridge (second bridge) as an alternative route. The designated path includes Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Jalan Bayan Lepas, Jalan Permatang Damar Laut, and Jalan Batu Maung.
