Nucks Misconduct’s 2020 NHL Trading Deadline-a-palooza!

Prepare yourself for a possible day of absolutely nothing, or complete and utter chaos...

It’s Trade Deadline Day, and unlike the last 4 seasons, where there wasn’t really any reason for the Canucks to do anything but shed salary or compile draft picks (yeah, we know...) but this year, the playoffs remain a very real possibility. Should they add pieces? Clear cap space for next year and some pretty big upcoming re-signings that need to be made? Run with the horses that got them this far? We’ll have to wait and see.

As always, there are some rules to be followed:

- If you haven’t already called in sick, get on it.

- Day drinking is encouraged, but pace yourself. It’s a long day.

- All trades this year are going to be graded on our new “DAMMIT, JIM!” scale. And much like the Richter scale: the higher the number, the more damaging it is.

- Remember that social media trolls abound: Take a sec to verify accounts before posting, and rumours may be met with childish namecalling and skepticism.

That’s it. We’ll be watching to see if Jim actually trades Troy Stecher, and for the anger and resentment that will accompany that decision. We’ll also be breaking down any moves today, and encourage you as always to weigh in with your thoughts in the comments section. Alright, let’s do this!
