History Of Canucks GM Jim Benning's Trades, Signings, Draft Picks & More

The Canucks named Jim Benning as their new General Manager on May 21, 2014. Benning was previously assistant general manager of the Boston Bruins (8 years), a director of amateur scouting (6 years) and a scout (4 years) for the Buffalo Sabres and also a scout for the Anaheim Ducks (1 year). Benning played 617 regular season and playoff games in the NHL as a defenceman for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Vancouver Canucks (1981-1990).

I compiled a list of trades, signings, drafting (scouting) results by Benning prior to his time with the Canucks here.

And now, here is a list of Benning's moves as Canucks' GM in chronological order, organized into trades, free agent signings, waiver claims/dumps, drafting and personnel changes.
