At the US Open, Coco Gauff defeated Karolina Muchova in straight sets to advance to the Grand Slam final. Aryna Sabalenka will be the next opponent for the 19-year-old after she defeated the runner-up in the French Open. The match was stopped by climate protesters in the audience, one of whom had his feet cemented to the ground, forcing Gauff and Muchova to pause play for 50 minutes.
