United Cup: These are the players and teams playing the new Australian mixed tournament

Rafael Nadal, Nick Kyrgios, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Cameron Norrie are among the top players who will compete in the upcoming United Cup.

The United Cup, a brand-new teams competition played in Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth, is turning up the heat on the Australian summer of tennis. Nations from all over the world, including men and women, will compete in a group format across Australia before the finals are held in Sydney, replacing the ATP Cup on the schedule.

Teams and players

18 teams will take place in the competition and they will be split into 6 groups of 3 nations each. The winners of the groups and the best 2 runner-ups will access the quarterfinals.

At the moment ranked no.2, Rafael played his last match on the 17th of November when he beat world no.3 Casper Ruud 7-5 7-5 in the round robin in the Nitto ATP Finals (draw).

Currently, during this year the Spaniard has achieved an overall 39-8 match record. The Spaniard has won 4 titles in 2022 in Melbourne, Australian Open, Acapulco and French Open. Rafael was the runner-up in Indian Wells.

Nadal is scheduled to compete next in Australian Open (Australian Open). He will start the tournament from the main draw that will commence on the 16th of January.
