Offseason Transactions
Key Additions: Davis Bertans

It was not a very impactful offseason for the Oklahoma City Thunder, as they essentially swapped out bit part players. The Thunder nucleus remained intact in the offseason, which was the entire goal for the franchise. The most important acquisition is the return of Chet Holmgren from injury, as Holmgren missed all of last season. With him back, this could feel like a very different team even though they did not make any big moves.
Positives & Negatives
The biggest positive for the OKC Thunder is its guard play, as this team has one of the best guard groups in the league. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is a legitimate star in this league, while Josh Giddey is one of the most versatile players in the NBA. They will plague opposing defenses this season, which will set the tone for this roster all season long.
But there is some concern going into this season about whether or not Holmgren can stay healthy. He does not have an extensive injury history before last year’s Lisfranc injury situation popped up. While he should be fine, there is some concern that he could always miss time again this year.
