32. Houston Texans

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +20000

The last place team in our NFL power rankings is the Houston Texans, a place they are familiar with occupying in many a power rankings throughout their history. We are already seeing Davis Mills losing first team snaps this summer, and we could see CJ Stroud take the field for this team sooner rather than later. But there are so many flaws around the quarterbacks in Houston, and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.

31. Indianapolis Colts

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +15000

There are a couple of teams with worse Super Bowl odds than the Indianapolis Colts. But the Colts should be worse than just about everyone this year, especially if they can’t get things squared away with Jonathan Taylor going into the season. The Colts are bad just about everywhere on the field, with Taylor being one of the few exceptions. This team could plunge into the abyss without him.

30. Arizona Cardinals

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +20000

The Arizona Cardinals are tied for the worst odds to win the Super Bowl alongside the Houston Texans this season. Arizona finally got the Kliff Kingsbury-shaped anchor off of their collective necks this offseason. But the personnel on this team may not be good enough to make the most of a much-needed coaching change. Being in a brutally though NFC West won’t help matters for this team either.

29. Chicago Bears

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +5000

There is some hype surrounding the Chicago Bears going into this season, but we just don’t see it with this team. Justin Fields led an offense that struggled to throw for 150 yards in games last season. Why are we assuming that the addition of DJ Moore will change things that much? This team is going to disappoint many who are anticipating some sort of magical improvement in 2023.

28. Atlanta Falcons

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +6000

The Atlanta Falcons are set to rely on Desmond Ridder at quarterback this season, and that is not likely to help them get better this season. Bijan Robinson will be an exciting addition for this offense, but running the football was not a weakness a season ago. With some issues in the passing game and on defense, the Falcons could end up as the worst team in the NFC South.

27. Green Bay Packers

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +6500

Aaron Rodgers is no longer at the helm in Green Bay, which will not singlehandedly end their season. But everything will get just a little bit worse than it was a season ago, as Jordan Love’s growing pains will make the job of every member of this team tougher. That will go for the defense as well, who will have to defend more time of possession a lot of the time.

26. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +9000

Before the draft and free agency, the Buccaneers were a team that looked interesting from a futures betting perspective, as they had a chance to bring in a quality quarterback to replace Tom Brady. Instead, they ended up with Baker Mayfield, and no amount of creamsicle uniformed nostalgia will make Mayfield a quarterback that can turn Tampa back into a contender.

25. New England Patriots

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +6500

Opening the top-25 in our NFL power rankings is the New England Patriots. The Patriots are solid in so many spots on the field, but they are struggling in the most important position. Mac Jones has not proven that he can be an upper echelon quarterback in this league, and he could have trouble once again, even if the Patriots have given him an elite two-tight end set to work with featuring Hunter Henry and Mike Gesicki.

24. Las Vegas Raiders

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +8000

The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to be worse than they were a year ago, as Derek Carr is gone and Jimmy Garoppolo is in to replace him at quarterback. But Garoppolo is better at simply winning football games than Carr, and the impact of that transition should be minimal given the skill position talent around Jimmy G. The defense of Las Vegas could be an issue, but this team should be respectable for much of this year.

23. Carolina Panthers

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +8000

The NFC South could be the worst division in the NFC this season, but that could benefit a team like the Carolina Panthers. Are the Panthers a particularly special team from a roster perspective? Absolutely not, but they could win four games or so in this division and be a threat to make the postseason. If nothing else, Andy Dalton helping Bryce Young learn the ropes as a pro quarterback is a good thing.

22. Washington Commanders

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +6500

There may not be a more impressive roster betrayed by its quarterback situation than that of the Washington Commanders going into 2023. Sam Howell is set to start at quarterback this season, which is not ideal, when the rest of their roster is more than capable of winning right now. If Howell can perform in his first full season as a pro, this team could shoot up these rankings in a hurry.

21. Los Angeles Rams

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +8000

The Los Angeles Rams are not a championship caliber team anymore, as they went all-in to get one and are now reaping the consequences of those decisions. But the Rams aren’t going to be as bad as advertised this season either. They will play a lot of high-scoring games, and win some of them thanks to the returns of Matt Stafford and Cooper Kupp. If nothing else, they will be fun to watch.

20. Cleveland Browns

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +3500

Coming in 20th in our NFL power rankings will be the Cleveland Browns. This team is expected to contend for a title this year, and we just don’t see that, given that Deshaun Watson looked bad in limited action last year. He hasn’t played a full season of football in multiple years, and the entire history of the Browns franchise leads us to believe this won’t be Cleveland’s year.

19. Pittsburgh Steelers

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +5000

Right there with the Browns in our power rankings are the Pittsburgh Steelers, who have a lot of upside this season. Kenny Pickett needs to take some significant steps forward. Fortunately for him and the Steelers, there is a lot of talent around him on both sides of the ball. It could be tough for this team to improve too much in a stacked AFC North, but there is cause for optimism in Pittsburgh.

18. New Orleans Saints

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +3000

New Orleans addressed its most pressing need in the offseason, grabbing Derek Carr after his exodus form Las Vegas. This season, the offense of the Saints should be much better than it was in 2022. But the question is how their defense will play after losing some talent like Marcus Davenport up front. We are also not sold on Carr’s ability to lead a team to a deep playoff run.

17. Tennessee Titans

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +8000

A team we expect to be better than their mainstream expectations would suggest is the Tennessee Titans. Ryan Tannehill is not that bad at quarterback, and he now has DeAndre Hopkins to throw to, along with a healthy Derrick Henry (for now). Their defense may not be great, but this Titans team is intriguing, and could stay that way for a while.

16. New York Giants

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +6500

Right in the middle of our NFL power rankings are the New York Giants. They got a playoff win last season, albeit against the Kirk Cousins-led Vikings. But we aren’t convinced that Daniel Jones is capable of any better than he did last year, especially with a bleak receiving corps once again. Darren Waller is a great tight end acquisition on paper, but his lack of consistent availability also gives us pause for the Giants.

15. Minnesota Vikings

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +3500

Just ahead of the team that beat them in the playoffs last year are the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings are not a team you can trust to deliver in the playoffs, but they will always be a viable regular season team thanks to the connection between Cousins and Justin Jefferson. This team has work to do on defense still, but if you like high-scoring games and fourth quarter suspense, this is the team for you.

14. Seattle Seahawks

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +3000

Last year, Geno Smith helped the Seattle Seahawks to be one of the biggest surprises in the NFL, as they made the playoffs in the NFC. This year, the Seahawks have added Jaxon Smith-Njigba to their stable of receivers, which should make the Seattle passing game more dangerous. That, combined with the return of Bobby Wagner at linebacker, could make the Seahawks a playoff team again this year.

13. Denver Broncos

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +4500

There was not a more disappointing NFL team last season than the Denver Broncos. This year, they are expected to be better, as switching from Nathaniel Hackett to Sean Payton at head coach should make a huge difference for the franchise. Expect bigger and better from Russell Wilson this year, though this team is still not a Super Bowl contender quite yet.

12. New York Jets

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +1600

The New York Jets made one of the splashiest moves of this past offseason in the NFL, trading for Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers represents a significant upgrade at quarterback from last year’s combination of Zach Wilson and Mike White. The question for this team will be whether Rodgers can get them over the hump in their quest for a Super Bowl run, or if this is a replay of their year with Brett Favre at quarterback.

11. Baltimore Ravens

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +1800

On paper, the Baltimore Ravens would have to be considered among the best teams in the NFL. But we have seen Lamar Jackson fail to get through a full season in back-to-back years. If he can get through a full year, Jackson could lead the Ravens to the top of this list. For now, we will park the Ravens just outside of the top-10 with a chance to improve in a hurry.

10. Detroit Lions

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +2200

Opening the top-10 in our NFL power rankings is the Detroit Lions. Last year, we were all over their season win total over, and were rewarded handsomely, as Dan Campbell put together an above average football team. This year, the question for the Lions is how they deal with the hype of being favorites to win the NFC North, as expectations are high for this team.

9. Miami Dolphins

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +2500

The Miami Dolphins looked like a team that could contend for a title last year, until injuries to Tua Tagovailoa derailed their season. This year, Tagovailoa is back healthy, and the team made a major addition at defensive back in Jalen Ramsey. Barring more injuries, this could be the season Dolphins fans have been hoping for.

8. Los Angeles Chargers

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +2500

There is still a bad taste in the mouth of Chargers fans after last season ended with a blown lead in the Wild Card round against the Jacksonville Jaguars. But the Chargers have plenty of talent to overcome that setback in 2023. The pass rush of the Chargers should be back in full force this season, and the eventual return of J.C. Jackson in the secondary could mean a return to the top of the AFC West for the Bolts.

7. Jacksonville Jaguars

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +3000

Jacksonville enjoyed an excellent season last year, making a ton of progress with their young core. This year, much like the Lions, the Jaguars will be expected to be even better this year. The question is whether or not they are capable of delivering that improvement in the face of more pressure than they were under a year ago.

6. Dallas Cowboys

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +1400

Jerry Jones has a roster in Arlington that is more than capable of winning a championship. But for that to happen, Dak Prescott is going to need to do a better job of avoiding turnovers. If he can do that, the rest of the talent on this Cowboys roster should be able to shine through. If he fails to do so, the Cowboys could once again fall short and questions could get louder about Prescott’s viability as a franchise quarterback.

5. Buffalo Bills

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +900

This is the point in our NFL power rankings where every team from here on out could win the Super Bowl. The Buffalo Bills have faltered against the Bengals and Chiefs in the playoffs in the last two seasons. But they have more than enough talent to win it all this year. The health of their secondary will be key to this season’s overall success, but the Bills will be in the mix no matter what in the AFC.

4. Cincinnati Bengals

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +1100

It isn’t easy to make back to back conference championship games, but the Cincinnati Bengals have done just that. They have failed to cash in on their championship window in either of those seasons, but the Bengals are clearly close to breaking through. This could be the year, so long as the Bengals continue to improve in their protection of Joe Burrow.

3. Philadelphia Eagles

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +650

The Philadelphia Eagles nearly won the Super Bowl last season, falling just short in a game they led against the Kansas City Chiefs. But the Eagles will be back and just as strong this season, thanks to offensive and defensive lines that are capable of winning at the line of scrimmage without much trouble. Jalen Hurts could break through for the MVP award this year, in a season that could end in a title for Philly.

2. San Francisco 49ers

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +1000

It feels like the NFC Championship Game is going to feature the Eagles and 49ers this year, barring some major injuries or upsets. Brock Purdy will be back healthy to start this season for the Niners, while the skill position players and defense around him are positively elite. Some better quarterback luck for the Niners this season could mean a trip to the Super Bowl.

1. Kansas City Chiefs

Super Bowl Winner Odds: +600

The number one team in our NFL power rankings is the team that won the Super Bowl a season ago. The Kansas City Chiefs have the best quarterback in the league and a coach that knows how to use their quarterback better than any other. As long as late season injuries do not wear down Patrick Mahomes too badly, the Chiefs will be one of the last teams standing in the NFL again in 2023.
