The second round of the NBA Playoffs will tip off for the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night. Both teams won their first round series as the lower seed, and will look to keep things rolling in this all-California clash. Why Bet the Lakers:

This series is going to be very different for the Warriors than the first round was. Golden State no longer has an advantage on the glass, as Anthony Davis and LeBron James will be much more formidable foes in the paint than Domantas Sabonis.

Along with their physicality, the bench of the Lakers is an asset since they made their trade deadline moves to bring in players like Rui Hachimura and Malik Beasley. Look for that to be a factor against a Warriors team that lacks depth.

Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers enter the second round of the NBA Playoffs after beating the Memphis Grizzlies in six games. Los Angeles was able to control things against the Grizzlies by spreading their scoring around and by controlling the paint with Anthony Davis. Here, they will look to utilize a similar recipe to win Game 1 against Golden State.

The big question for the Lakers, though, will be how the defend Steph Curry. Curry is coming off of a 50-point Game 7 performance for the ages against the Sacramento Kings. While Curry should struggle scoring at the basket more against a more physical Lakers team, Los Angeles needs to figure out a way to at least limit him from the outside.

Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors got the job done in Game 7 on the road against the Sacramento Kings. They trailed at halftime, but blew the Kings away in the second half, shutting down the Kings and getting a huge final 24 minutes from Steph Curry. In Game 1 of this series, the Warriors may need another all-time performance from Curry to come away with a win.

For the Warriors, the big question going into this game is what will they get out of Kevon Looney. Looney decimated the Kings on the glass, but that will be a much tougher task against the Lakers thanks to the presence of Anthony Davis. If the Warriors don’t win on the glass in this game, things could look different for them than they did on Sunday.
