In the batting department, Normal proceedings resumed at the top of the order for India as Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan got India off to a formidable start. Dhawan failed to convert the start and was dismissed in the ’20s, his dismissal brought Indian skipper to the crease. Rohit (67) was smashing sixes for fun and his knock was taking the match away from West Indies. But a flurry of wickets in the middle overs brought West Indies back in the game. India middle-order failed as the duo of Pant and Pandey failed to make a mark. But Krunal Pandya stepped up his game in the final over and provided the impetus that India were looking for. In the bowling, Washinton Sundar and Bhuvi were, as usual, accurate and got 2 wickets in first few overs. Middle overs were controlled by Krunal and Navdeep Saini who looked impressive once again but failed to convert starts. In the end, rain sealed the victory for India.
