Alexander “Sascha” Zverev is a German professional Tennis player whose exceptional performance on the court has led him to remarkable heights in the tennis world. Born on April 20, 1997, Zverev quickly made a name for himself in the sport, being ranked as high as world No. 2 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and consistently ranking in the top 10 from July 2017 to November 2022. His illustrious career includes winning titles at the 2018 and the 2021 ATP Finals, securing a gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, and achieving 19 ATP Tour titles in singles and two in doubles.

As a former junior world No. 1, Zverev showed early promise by winning a junior major singles title at the 2014 Australian Open. While he has had success on both hard and clay courts, his abilities on hard courts have been specifically praised. Despite his potential on grass courts, he has yet to win a title on this surface, although he has reached two finals and defeated formidable players such as Federer. Additionally, Zverev has the ability to serve-and-volley, a technique employed less frequently but proven effective in critical matches.
