In the biggest rivalry of Vivo Ipl Mumbai Indians (MI) beat Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by 46 runs in the 44th match of vivo IPL 2019 played at M.A. Chidambaram Staudim, Chepauk. The host Chennai Super Kings (CSK) last night was playing under the captaincy of Suresh Raina as former captain of Indian Cricket Team was at rest. Indian opener Rohit Sharma played a brilliant innings of 67 off 48 balls including 6 fours and 3 sixes. Though this was his maiden half-century for Mumbai Indians (MI). Skipper Rohit Sharma and West Indian Ewin Lewis gave a good start for Mumbai Indians (MI). Opener Quinton de Cock loose his wicket too early.

Mumbai Indians (MI) were at a good position but they loose wickets after the departure of Rohit Sharma but they managed to score a total of 155 loosing 4 wickets with a small cameo of all-rounder Hardik Pandya 23 off 18 balls including 1 four and 1 six.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) didn’t manage to get a good start as they were at 40/3 . Shane Watson 8 off 4 balls, Suresh Raina 2 off 4 balls , Ambati Rayudu 0 off 3 balls. But opener Murali Vijay playing his first match in the vivo IPL 2019 scored 38 off 35 balls including 3 fours and 1 six.

During the whole innings Chennai Super Kings (CSK) were loosing their wickets during intervals as Sri-lankan bowler Lasith Malinga took 4 wickets and spinner Krunal Pandya took 2 wickets. CSK lost their top order in quick succession with only Dwayne Bravo (20) and Mitchell Santner (22) playing crucial cameos but failing to convert their start to match-winning knocks.
