San Marino vs Kazakhstan Prediction and Match Previews

San Marino Team News

Eight games. No goals scored. 43 conceded. It has been yet another dreadful Qualifying Campaign of the amateur team might be expected to compete with European nations that they face. In all their history, they have lost five games, four of which are interesting, others are more Lichtenstein 1-0 victory in a friendly match.

In this regard, the eighth of their Euro qualifying campaign, they've managed one draw - 0-0 against Estonia back in 2014 - and 55 defeats. A game like this, at home against another national team less successful, is one of their better chances to get something, but a 4-0 defeat in June showed, there are still a large quality gap behind Kazakhstan.

Tropical Coriano Vitaioli striker Matteo is one of only two players in their squad has now scored for San Marino, the other being defender Mirko Palazzi. That's one each, and a total of only two international goals throughout the squad. Defender Davide Simoncini and goalkeeper Aldo Junior Simoncini are two most experienced players in the team, both 33, with 60 and 61 caps respectively.

Kazakhstan News Team
Kazakhstan has never qualified for the World Cup or European Championship, and the walk will continue as they could not make it out of this group to make it to Euro 2020. They sit second-bottom in Group I, behind Scotland and Cyprus, with seven points from eight competition.

There were some positive signs in this qualifying campaign, though. They started on a great footing with a 3-0 victory over Scotland, and while the results since it has not been great - five losses, one draw (1-1 against Cyprus) and win over San Marino in their last seven games - they at least looked competitive and semi-competitive last month. Cyprus needed two goals in the final 20 minutes to beat them 2-1, while the superstar of Belgium kept only two goals (2-0) in their latest match.

Forward Aleksey Shchotkin has only two goals in 29 international appearances, but he would see this as an opportunity to pad the stats, while midfielder Rostov is 21 years Baktiyar Zaynutdinov is one of only two players to ply their trade at the football club away from the league Kazakhstan domestic.

Prediction

San Marino will be desperate to end their run without a goal and be satisfied that even if it does not produce a positive result against Kazakhstan. The home team knew this was their best chance in this qualification campaign to end a run of it but visitors are not going to make it easy for them. After two wins so far, Kazakhstan will be sure to add to their tally and they should be able to do it while extending the misery San Marino in front of goal in the process.
