Arsenal have intensified the race to sign Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee. The Gunners are said to be in the market to sign a striker in the summer with ample big names already linked with a probable move to the Emirates Stadium.

The injury issues with Gabriel Jesus complemented by a possibility that Eddie Nketiah will be sold – the Gunners are said to already have a plan to ensure that they fill the striking position with a high ceiling ace who not only brings goals but also brings presence while fitting into Mikel Arteta’s style of play.

Joshua Zirkzee has been scoring goals on left, right, and center, at Renato Dall’Ara Stadium since his move to Italy from Bayern Munich. He has always been highly rated as a prospect who never had the backing and space of run-ins that he needed.

While Bayern Munich do have a buy-back option, Arsenal’s pursuit remains strong.

He has scored nine goals and provided four assists for Thiago Motta’s Bologna in the league this season.

Securing the services of Zirkzee for £38.5 million would be a massive bargain when we think about the recent deals that the clubs do for the potential Joshua has.

The Gunners faithful will be looking forward to rumours in the Italian media surrounding the 22-year-old Dutch striker and a probable move to North London.
