Bayern Munich interest in Rice deemed “too little, too late”

A source in close proximity to David Sullivan, the owner of West Ham United has revealed that Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Declan Rice has come to a halt, as the midfielder has reportedly made up his mind to sign with Arsenal. The source has deemed the German club’s interest as “too little, too late.”

According to a source, it has been revealed that Rice had previously informed Sullivan of his decision to join Arsenal, and that the agreement had been reached some time ago. Rice’s inclination towards joining Arsenal is purportedly driven by the club’s recent attainment of a Champions League spot, coupled with the convenience of staying put in London – a city where he has familial obligations, including the care of his young offspring.

Bayern Munich’s pursuit of Rice’s signature remains ongoing, however, reports suggest that West Ham’s owner, Sullivan, will only entertain the prospect of a transfer if the club’s valuation of approximately €100 million is met. In the event that Arsenal falls short of West Ham’s valuation, Bayern may be presented with a prospect, as sources suggest that the Gunners are seeking a more economical agreement.

Bayern’s financial prowess notwithstanding, it seems that Rice’s heart is set on Arsenal, making it a daunting task for the German outfit to sway his decision.
