Fulham hosts Arsenal on Sunday with the hope of taking points off the Gunners again. The Lilywhites held Arsenal to a 2-2 draw at the Emirates in the reverse fixture and would desire to go one better when both sides meet on Sunday.

The New Year’s Eve fixture for Arsenal is one they must find everything in their loins to win. Arsenal’s form is one of the worst in the league at the moment, with only one win in their last five. It's a pathetic form for a side that is challenging for the title.

Arsenal lost at home to West Ham a few days ago, and the result itself is one thing; how the Gunners played the game is another. They created a lot of chances but failed to take any, and it could have been worse with Said Benrahma missing from the spot.

Fulham has two wins in their last five; they were on a fine run of scoring five goals in back-to-back games only to go three league games without finding the back of the net. If they must beat the Gunners, they have to take their chances when they get them.

Everything goes through a rough patch at certain points; Arsenal’s is unbecoming, and they’re ten points worse off than they were last season. They spent Christmas at the top, and now they’re even in danger of dropping out of the top four.

Arsenal’s front three of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, and Bukayo Saka have only scored ten goals between them, which explains why they’re struggling. The form of Martin Odegaard has also contributed to their recent woes; they must claw things back.

Fulham welcomes Raul Jimenez back from suspension and would also have former Arsenal stars Bernd Leno and Alex Iwobi on the field. Willian continues to heal from a groin problem, while Tim Ream is expected back in training next week.

Takehiro Tomiyasu and Thomas Partey are both back in training and available for selection, leaving only Fabio Vieira and Timber as the only players on the treatment table for Arsenal. The Gunners must make good use of the chances they create; it won’t be easy against Fulham’s low block.

Fulham can exploit Arsenal through Alex Zinchenko. The former Manchester City player has been culpable for some goals Arsenal have conceded so far this season; how Mikel Arteta plugs the hole Zinchenko leaves behind is left to be seen.

Verdict: Arsenal to win
