The Premier League table is delicately poised, and Tottenham Hotspur can move back to the top of the table after Arsenal failed to beat Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge Stadium on Saturday.

Ange Postecoglou’s side will move two points clear of Manchester City and Arsenal with a win over Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday night, and as things stand, it’s all in the hands of the boys from the white half of North London.

Spurs are the only other side yet to taste defeat this season alongside Arsenal, but it can get even better for them with a win over the Lilywhites. Following Manchester City’s 2-1 success over Brighton, the champions currently sit at the top of the log, but three points for Spurs on Monday send them second.

Fulham would feel they deserve more than what they currently have in terms of points, but you need to score goals to win games. They’re shy in front of the goal, and the place of Raul Jimenez, who replaced Aleksander Mitrovic, is under the spotlight.

Fulham is 13th on the Premier League table, and a win, as improbable as it sounds, could get them as high as level on points in ninth with West Ham United. They did score three times against Sheffield last time out, but when they’re playing teams above them on the log, the goals dry up.

Heung Min Son and James Maddison are the players to watch out for in this fixture. The defensive shape of the visitors must prepare for what these two will throw at them, and if they can cut off supplies from the former Leicester City man, they indeed have a chance.

How can Fulham hurt Tottenham? They have to be quick off the block. They must start strong and cut out silly mistakes that ruined their beautiful scripts against Chelsea. They have to take their chances when they get any and manage spaces better.

Willian was an inch away from joining Tottenham almost a decade ago, and he will once again tell the story when he steps to the pitch on Monday. He has been on fire for the Lilywhites, and it will be a great opportunity for him to impress again.

Tottenham knows what is at stake—a place above the rest going into game week 10 in the Premier League—and considering how interesting their following fixtures are, they have to find a way to win here and then prepare for the next with no European engagement in midweek.

Verdict: Straight win Spurs
