Jesse Marsch Sacked as Leeds Manager

American coach Jesse Marsch has been relieved of his duties as manager of Leeds United after just under a year in charge.

The club's recent poor run of form, with seven Premier League games without a win and 17th place in the table, ultimately led to his sacking.

Marsch took over as Leeds manager in February 2022, succeeding Marcelo Bielsa.

However, despite starting off well, the club has struggled this season, winning only four of their 20 league games with six draws and 10 losses.

The defeat by Nottingham Forest in Marsch's final match in charge was the final straw for the club's management.

A club statement has confirmed that the process of appointing a new head coach is already underway.

Leeds will continue to keep supporters updated in the coming days.

The club faces a crucial week, with two games against Manchester United on the horizon.

The first at Old Trafford on Wednesday and the second at Elland Road on Sunday.

Marsch has a wealth of coaching experience, having worked at RB Leipzig, New York Red Bulls, and Red Bull Salzburg.

However, despite his resume, his tenure at Leeds was ultimately unsuccessful.

The club will now look to bounce back from this setback and appoint a new manager to lead them back up the table.
