Premier league returns amidst the Queen's funeral

The premier league is back this weekend, what game are you looking forward to? (Photo credit: Premierleague.com)

The premier league is back to action this weekend after last week’s suspension due to the passing of the Queen but three fixtures won’t feature.

Top of the picks this Weekend would be the Arsenal’s trip to Brentford and Everton at home to Westham as both fixtures hold significant values based on last season’s results and current League table respectively and one would expect some sort of reactions.

Arsenal sits on top of the log by a slim margin and could go as far as third before they kick the ball on Sunday if Manchester City and Tottenham win their respective games against Wolves and Leicester City earlier on Saturday.

The Gunners lost to the Bees on the opening day of last season and that set the tone for a challenging start to the campaign for Mikel Arteta’s side. While a 2-1 win at the Emirates sufficed in the second leg, Arsenal would seek revenge at the Community Stadium this weekend.

Everton is yet to win a single game this season with a couple of draws but the big point at home against Liverpool speaks volume and they can build from there to spring into life this season.

The Toffees won’t be able to call on Jordan Pickford who also missed out on the 3Lions friendly list due to injuries and Asmir Begovic will deputize in goal. Westham has started picking points but will they be able to outshine Frank Lampard’s side on Saturday?
