It’s that period of the year that many people don’t like; it’s the season of rumors and frustrations. It’s time for links and speculations, while there are still two major trophies on offer in Europe, we look at a few transfers news buzzing the timelines as well as other stories across Europe.

UK Government approves new Chelsea owner

Look away Chelsea haters, every evil you ever wished the Blues after the exit of their erstwhile Sugar Daddy Roman Abramovic wouldn’t come to pass as the UK Government has on Tuesday approved the bid of Todd Boehly and his consortium to buy the London side.

The long tussle has finally come to an end and Chelsea will now resume businesses as usual, fans can buy tickets and transfers can be made. The question would now be: how much of investment should fans expect from their new owners?

Kounde to Chelsea imminent!

In a swift answer to the question, Chelsea are reportedly close to signing Sevilla’s utility defender Joules Kounde on a five year deal after agreeing fees with the La Liga side and the Frenchman.

Kounde is one of the brightest defensive prospects in Europe at the moment, offering quality at both ends of the pitch and can play anywhere across the defense. Chelsea are believed to have triggered his release clause and would be a straight replacement for Antonio Rudiger.

Klopp wins manager of the season

Not a big surprise but Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has been voted as the manager of the season following a strong season where his team fell short by just one point against Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola, Patrick Vieira, Thomas Frank, Eddie Howe and the Liverpool man were among the nominees with many favoring the underdogs but the decision has been made and Klopp has been rewarded for his team’s tenacity throughout the campaign.

Tchouameni near Madrid switch

Monaco midfielder, Aurelien Tchouameni is reportedly close to a mammoth €80m deal to join Real Madrid with the Spanish giants beating Liverpool to his signature.

The 22-year-old French ace is the second player to join Real Madrid this summer after Antonio Rudiger. The champions league finalists suffered a heartbreak on Kyllian Mbappe, who chose to stay at PSG as against a move to the Bernabeu.

Erik Ten Hag era begins at Manchester United

German tactician Erik Ten Hag has resumed work at Manchester United and he has already made some big moves with jibes at league giants in his first presser.

Ten Hag was quick to dismiss the threats of Liverpool and Manchester City by saying he respects them but “eras do come to an end”. Interesting statement there but does he know how much Manchester United can embarrass anyone?
