The one that blew Chelsea away at Stamford Bridge or the one that struggles against smaller teams in the league?

United labored to a 1-1 draw in Europe on Thursday with a much-changed side but could have a chance to break into the top five as we have it now if they win and other results favor them.

But Watford also needs the victory to steer out of the drop zone where they currently need to win at least to have a chance of floating above Villa and Westham.

The Reds aren’t convincing when playing teams that are way below them and the bulk of their successes this season have come from games against teams in the traditional top six of last season.

Nigel Pearson would rue the Adrian Mariappa own goal that handed Brighton a point last weekend and look to build from there.

United on their hands need an identity, their midfield should win games from now on with the presence of Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTominay.

But the attack needs to be decisive, maybe Ole Gunnar Solksjaer needs to deploy Anthony Martial to the flanks, giving room to the Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo upfront, and if that happens, he will be facing his old club… It would be nice to see.
