2023/24 Laliga Sorare Cards have dropped with the first editions of Limited and Rare cards already hitting the market. Below, we’ll take a look at some of the best players and best LALIGA EASPORTS team stacks.

Given the recent addition of collection bonuses, collecting one club’s cards from an individual season and picking team stacks in your SO5 lineups can be an effective strategy. With the 5% new season bonus and the potential to build your collection bonus to a maximum of 5%, 2023/24 Limited and Rare cards can now very quickly build up total XP bonuses of way beyond the standard 10% which could give you a significant edge on the competition.

New season cards will of course initially cost more though. This article is not a recommendation to buy any cards and doesn’t feature any price analysis so do your own research and consider your strategy carefully before diving in!

In each case, the number in brackets is the player’s current L15 score as of 20/9/23 and links lead to each player’s Sorare page where you can find the latest cards on sale.

2023/24 LaLiga Sorare cards – Potential team stacks

Barcelona – Ter Stegen (55) | Araujo (62) | De Jong (66) | Pedri (57) | Lewandowski (63)

Barcelona have added a bit more depth to their squad this summer which adds to the competition in key areas of the pitch. With Xavi seeking greater success on the European stage, we may see more rotation from Barca this term, which could lead to some guaranteed starters from last season, coming in and out of the team more frequently.

That’s not ideal for Sorare managers but you can still certainly count on Marc-Andre ter Stegen to be the starting goalkeeper in LaLiga and in Europe. The addition of Joao Cancelo could change the dynamic of the back four though. If the Portuguese international does well and Xavi’s preference is for an attacking right-back, that may leave Jules Kounde, Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen slogging it out for two places in central defence with Araujo perhaps the most secure pick of those three.

Ilkay Gundogan’s arrival poses similar questions in midfield but it still feels like Frenkie de Jong and Pedri should be starters in Barca’s best XI, although the latter is currently injured. Up top, Robert Lewandowski is still clear as the standout forward option with the likes of Joao Felix, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha likely to rotate amongst themselves for the wide roles.

Real Madrid – Kepa (46) | Alaba (49) | Bellingham (71) | Vini (52) | Rodrygo (54)

Early season ACL injuries for Thibaut Courtois and Eder Militao within the space of a few days was not just bad news for Real Madrid but a desperate blow for any Sorare managers with Real Madrid defensive stacks. Both men boast L40 averages of more than 60, but Los Blancos’ other defenders are all relatively unimpressive scorers.

David Alaba is perhaps the safest Real Madrid defender pick for this term with Militao unlikely to see action before April 2024. Dani Carvajal currently has a higher L15 average but regularly picks up injuries and is more likely to be rotated out.

In midfield, Jude Bellingham is of course the standout option with the Englishman playing in an advanced role and making a brilliant start in Madrid. Vini Junior (due back next month) is another obvious pick in any Real Madrid full team stack. You then have options such as Rodrygo, Fede Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni to complete the five. The depth that exists in midfield and greater potential for rotation, perhaps making Rodrygo a better option.

Given the less impressive defensive options and the fact that Bellingham, Vini, Rodrygo and Tchouameni are all eligible for U23 competitions, a full Real Madrid stack doesn’t really feel like the way to go this term. If you can afford a Bellingham-Vini-Rodrygo or Tchouameni-Bellingham-Vini stack, it’d surely make more sense to stick them in U23.

Atletico Madrid – Oblak (51) | Gimenez (53) | Molina (51) | De Paul (66) | Griezmann (66)

While Atletico Madrid have been widely tipped to at least compete for the title this season in Spain, they are not typically a great scoring team on Sorare with Diego Simeone’s tactics not exactly matrix-friendly.

That being said, there is still the potential for a really strong Atleti attacking duo when it comes to pairing Antoine Griezmann and Rodrigo De Paul together with the pair scoring as well as almost anyone in LaLiga in 2023.

It’s hard to get too excited about any of Atleti’s other players though with Jose Maria Gimenez and the ever improving Nahuel Molina perhaps the next best outfield options who feel like certain starters when fit.

Villarreal – Jorgensen (41) | Foyth (50) | Parejo (51) | Baena (58) | Gerard Moreno (54)

Villarreal have just sacked Quique Setien and appointed Pacheta so it’s early days in terms of figuring out their approach under new management. They have the feel of a team that is going to concede a lot of goals this term but U23 keeper Filip Jorgensen kept his place in Pacheta’s first game and Juan Foyth looks the safest and best scoring pick to pair with him if you’re trying to compile a full team stack.

At the other end, Villarreal should still produce plenty. They’ve actually managed to keep Gerard Moreno fit so far which is a miracle given the Spaniard has started just 14 times in each of the last two LaLiga seasons. He’s easily one of the best forward options in the division and he should get good service from youngster Alex Baena who has been very impressive so far this term.

Baena’s rise is bad news for Dani Parejo holders given his ability from set pieces. This may be the first season that Parejo is no longer a truly elite card but he should still score quite well.

Real Sociedad – Remiro (56) | Traore (54) | Merino (49) | Brais Mendez (49) | Kubo (63)

Real Sociedad have very strong options at each end of the pitch with Alex Remiro one of the best LaLiga goalkeepers while Take Kubo has taken over David Silva as the team’s chief creative force and has also netted 3 times already this term.

Aside from those two, there’s not a great deal to get truly excited by from a Sorare perspective. Hamari Traore is currently their top scoring defender although he could face competition for the right back role from new signing Alvaro Odriozola.

In midfield, Mikel Merino and Zubimendi are the safest picks, although Brais Mendez is the player more likely to post decisive scores. 20 year old Russian Arsen Zakharyan could also force his way into the team once he settles but it remains to be seen how effective the €13m signing will be. Mikel Oyarzabal could also score well but has so far struggled to find his old level prior to a serious injury which badly affected him last season.

Athletic Club – Simon (54) | Yuri (51) | Vesga (45) | Iñaki Williams (57) | Nico Williams (53)

There’s no European football in Bilbao but that at least makes it a bit easier to predict their lineups given there is no real need for rotation. Spain number one Unai Simon remains clear first choice at San Mames despite strong competition from Julen Agirrezabala. There’s not much to choose between their back four in terms of points scores, although experienced left-back Yuri tends to score well.

In terms of an attacking stack, the Williams brothers are now a really attractive duo with Iñaki boasting an impressive L15 score of 57 while Nico (injured until October) is emerging as a real star and main source of attacking inspiration for this team. 

The main problem in terms of a full Athletic stack is the lack of midfield options though. Oihan Sancet is their most exciting young midfield player, although you’ll need a decisive from him if he’s to score well as he lacks an AA game. Mikel Vesga is the steadier midfield option but don’t expect many 60+ scores.

Real Betis – Rui Silva (44) | Sabaly (58) | Isco (56) | Guido Rodriguez (48) | Ayoze Perez (53)

Real Betis are a team that likes to rotate and has European football so they may not be the best option for stack building. Rui Silva is the most regular starter in goal but is currently injured giving veteran Claudio Bravo another run in the team. 

Their top scoring defender is Youssouf Sabaly who is also injured right now and with competition for the right-back role from Hector Bellerin, opting for either centre-back (Marc Bartra or German Pezzella) may be safer given there is virtually no depth in that area after the sale of Luiz Felipe to Saudi side Al-Ittihad after the transfer deadline.

Avoiding a defence that shipped five at the weekend at Barcelona and focusing on midfield and attacking options may be better, although again rotation and selection doubts could scupper your plans. Right now, Isco is the standout Betis player with the former Real Madrid man looking like a footballer again although he’ll soon face competition from Nabil Fekir who is due back from an ACL injury next month.

The big question is going to be whether Manuel Pellegrini can find a way to get Fekir and Isco into the same team. If so, those two plus Ayoze Perez could eventually form a very useful attacking trident, although Guido Rodriguez would be a much safer pick if you’re worried about rotation.

Girona – Gazzaniga (55) | David Lopez (54) | Aleix Garcia (49) | Tsygankov (58) | Savio (54)

Girona are riding high in 3rd place in the early standings and with an attacking approach, may be a good option for a slightly less obvious LaLiga stack. They have some of the league’s most exciting U23 players including Savio who has made a bright start to life in Catalunya.

The 19 year old appears to have already cemented his place in this team while Viktor Tsygankov and Aleix Garcia also feel like guaranteed picks with the latter’s L15 average only so low due to injury problems in the second half of last season.

Michel’s team will concede goals but that hasn’t stopped the likes of Paulo Gazzaniga and David Lopez from scoring well. Promising full-backs Miguel Gutierrez and Arnau Martinez also tend to score well for U23 players.

The Best of the Rest

As for the rest of the league, you may struggle to find full team stacks that are truly convincing. 

There are slim pickings even at Champions League side Sevilla where Ivan Rakitic (53) is the only player who was at the club last season with an L15 average of more than 50 and that actually covers a period when the Andalusians were largely successful. A potential Dmitrovic-Sergio Ramos Gk-defender stack could potentially be worth considering though, although don’t expect the latter to score anywhere near as well as he did at PSG.

Last season’s 7th place side Osasuna rotate far too much to be a serious option on Sorare with even guessing who starts in goal a real headache each week.

Celta Vigo are still a work in progress under new boss Rafa Benitez. There are doubts as to who their long-term number one will be with Vicente Guaita and Agustin Marchesin hoping to displace Ivan Villar which makes a defensive stacky tricky. There is the potential for a decent attacking stack if Iago Aspas (48) can rediscover his goal touch and Jonathan Bamba (51) lights up LaLiga, but there aren’t many great options in midfield.

Over at Mestalla, Valencia stunned Atletico Madrid 3-0 at the weekend but they still have what feels like a relatively limited team should fall back from its current 5th place. There isn’t much in the final third to like on Sorare, but there is potential for a nice defensive stack with Jose Gaya (62) and Mouctar Diakhaby (55), although you’d have to pay a premium for their talented U23 goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili (44).

Rayo Vallecano are also something of a mystery still with 9 points from 5 games so far under new management, although they did concede 7 in one game against Atletico. Midfielders Alvaro Garcia (53) and Isi Palazon (55) remain central to their plans and could potentially be paired with Raul De Tomas (47) although the striker will again face competition from Sergio Camello for the starting role up front.

Mallorca were mid-table last term and are typically strong at home. They have done some good business which opens up the potential to at least pair Sergi Darder (52) and Vedat Muriqi (50) together while Martin Valjent (56) feels like their most secure starting defender to pair with clear first choice keeper Predrag Rajkovic (51).

After that, you’re really dipping down into the relegation candidates and your options for finding good stacks are even more limited. You can find the odd high scoring player at those clubs such as Lucas Robertone (57) at Almeria and Luis Rioja (53) at Alaves but there are few options for other players to team that up with and you’re of course dealing with teams that will be second best in most games.

Perhaps the most interesting (from a Sorare perspective) of the obvious bottom half candidates are Las Palmas. The newly promoted side utilise a pass-heavy approach with only Real Madrid and Barcelona having more possession this term. That should see young centre-back Mika Marmol (63) continue to score well following his move from FC Andorra while goalkeeper Alvaro Valles (52) and defender Alex Suarez (51) both currently have superior L5’s to L15’s which bodes well for their transition into life at a higher level.

Jonathan Viera (59) is also very much worthy of a place on this stage but with Las Palmas yet to score from open play this season, it’s hard to make a real case for buying an attacking stack featuring him and Sandro Ramirez (59) whose scores will surely dip in the Primera. There’s also the risk that coach Garcia Pimienta will be sacked at some point which could lead to a much less matrix-friendly style of play.

Segunda Division (LALIGA HYPERMOTION) cards have also dropped and there of course plenty of options there with some of the standout options featured in our Segunda Division season preview which was written after the transfer window shut.
