Wolves announce tickets to possible play-in game – WCCO

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — With the Denver Nuggets holding the sixth seed in the NBA Western Conference, the Timberwolves seem likely to finish in the entry Tournament. The team acknowledged as much when it announced that tickets for the potential first play-in game will go on sale at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Tickets for the first play-in game, to be held at the Target Center, will start at $20 and can be purchased through the Timberwolves’ website. The game could potentially take place on April 12 or 13. The Wolves could still clinch the sixth seed and avoid the play-in tournament altogether if they finish strong and the Nuggets falter. MORE: Wolves’ KAT is named Western Conference Player of the Week (again) With six games each remaining, the Nuggets are two games ahead of the Wolves. They will play each other on Friday night. The Wolves’ remaining schedule is split evenly between home and away games. They will end a three-game winning streak at the Target Center. The play-in tournament is a recent addition to the league’s postseason. Four teams from each conference, ranked seventh through 10th best in winning percentage, compete for the final two playoff spots. After the tournament, the NBA playoffs continue as normal. The top six seeds from each conference go directly to the playoffs.
