MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (WCCO) – With the NCAA Women’s Final Four just days away, Target Center is putting the finishing touches on the event. On Sunday morning, the teams installed a handmade field, specially designed for the event. Win Over Avalanche “It’s all northern maple hardwood,” Krejsa said. “So these are 20-, 30-year-old trees, to be able to have the density of wood to become a basketball court.” (Credit: CBS) The court is designed with athlete safety in mind, Krejsa said, with layered wood designed to limit impact and distribute weight evenly.
