Arsenal Giving Consideration To A Move For Former Chelsea Superstar: Ludicrous Much?

Arsenal are considering a shock move for the 32-year-old Real Madrid attacker Eden Hazard.

The Belgian forward will be holding talks with his current club to discuss his future in Spain. However, Real Madrid are open to the idea of letting Eden Hazard leave. After a disappointing stint at the Spanish capital, it is time for Hazard to move on from the bad times.

Arsenal currently sit on top of the Premier League table and do not look like slowing down. However, the Gunners should be better prepared for fixture congestion as Manchester City and Erling Haaland will be ready to pounce on any slip-ups. Arsenal also want to improve their squad to keep up their title charge.

According to Mediafoot, Arsenal will make a move for Eden Hazard as an alternative to Mykhailo Mudryk who ended up joining Chelsea.

Hazard’s contract at Madrid ends at the end of this season. There has been an interest to sign the 32-year-old forward from a few MLS sides, Fenerbahce and Al-Nassr.

There was a time when Eden Hazard ruled the English Premier League with Chelsea. The player had a dream of playing at Real Madrid but the move did not pan out as he would have wanted. Due to injuries and lack of fitness of the player, the Madrid managers have struggled to find a good reason to include him in the starting 11 regularly.

Arsenal might need some quality depth in their squad if in case a player gets injured for a long period, as they would not want to dent their chances of winning the Premier League now, especially when they have opened up an 8-point lead on their nearest rivals.

The Gunners have not won the Premier League trophy since 2003/04 and now is a good chance for them to end the drought. Although, they just might need one or two extra players to help them reach the finish line.

Can Eden Hazard Help Arsenal Win The Premier League?

It would be a fairytale story if Eden Hazard actually did end up helping the Gunners to lift the Premier League trophy. He certainly does carry the potential and has won the Premier League before. Hazard has the experience to help Arsenal in such a situation. However, he is not at the level he used to be a few years ago.

If the North London club really want someone who can help them win silverware, they might have to look for other options.

Hazard is not match-fit, he is not playing consistently enough, and he is not in form. It will need something extraordinary for him to return to his best. The player will need good motivation to return to full fitness and a good amount of game time.

But giving Hazard regular game time will be difficult for Mikel Arteta because of the performances Gabriel Martinelli has been putting this season on the left flank.

Additionally, Chelsea fans will not be happy about the fact that Hazard will be joining their arch-rivals.

It will be better for Arsenal if they go for a more prolific option or even someone who is good enough to play in the cup matches.

There is a high possibility that Arsenal might regret their decision of signing Eden Hazard. It will only be a waste for the Gunners if Hazard fails to be prolific, while they end up paying him high wages because of his reputation in the past.
