Arsenal on their official have revealed the exact Injury suffered by Mo Elneny but as usual have refrained from revealing the true extent of the injury or as how long he may be out in the coming weeks. Previously during the post West ham Press conference Arsene Wenger had described the injury suffered by Elneny by saying that “Unfortunately it doesn’t look too good,”. “He has an X-ray, but I don’t know how bad it is. But it doesn’t look too good.” Elneny had his ankle in a boot as he was carried off and looked to be in serious pain after trying to volley the ball along with West Ham’s Mark Noble and coming off worse in the process. Having been stretchered off the field in leg braces during the 4-1 win over West Ham, it seemed a possible World Cup absence was possibly on the cards given how he had to leave the field.
However it seems that wont be the case and Egypt and its supporters can rest in ease knowing that he will now be likely to return in about 3 weeks from now and will even feature during the final couple of games of the season for Arsenal. This information however is not from the official Arsenal website but according to the Egypt national team assistant coach.

“I just contacted Elneny after he finished his X-ray and thankfully his injury is not serious and he will be out of action for three weeks. “He will join us in the World Cup.”
Why Arsene Wenger was indeed forced to resign as Arsenal managerHis performance this season have been quite exemplary and despite never really getting due credit for his hardwork and influence on the pitch Elneny has always kept his head down and gone on with his work. Kind of what Nacho has been doing for years now. Probably why Arsenal have show faith and trust in the Egyptian by offering him fresh a long term this season. Tough Luck not having him for the clash vs Atletico but we sure do have sufficient cover for him with Xhaka, Ramsey, Wilshere and Ozil all fit and raring to go on thursday to prove a point to the world and win everything they can for the Boss who is finally calling it a day. All the best Mo and hope hes back and running sooner than ever.
