Team News

Klopp once again head into another week of action with some injury concerns, after emerging from a meeting with both Aston Villa and Genk unscathed.

Joel Matip and Xherdan Shaqiri remains the only player ruled definitively on the occasion with knee and calf injuries respectively.

Elsewhere, Jordan Henderson is to return to the fold after illness forced omission of action in midweek with the boss said he was "absolutely fine."

He left the manager with a plethora of options in midfield, with seven players at his disposal effectively.

Once removed from the game against Villa with this in mind, Fabinho will be one of the first names on the team sheet.

Who will partner Brazil is the largest source of debate once again, with the Gini Wijnaldum and Henderson combination is believed to events like this.
But Oxlade-Chamberlain, who does not have the effect of a lingering ankle knock against Genk, has put a convincing case forward in recent weeks with four goals in as many appearances, while Naby Keita, James Milner and Adam Lallana remains as a further option.

Defense and front three are all available for selection, with Joe Gomez and Dejan Lovren single puzzle in the back - but the latter is expected to get the nod.

Cities, on the other hand, had a number of injuries to contend well as Leroy Sane and Aymeric Laporte remains sidelined with a long-term injury while Rodri, Oleksandr Zinchenko and David Silva also on the sidelines.

Ederson, meanwhile, drawn at intervals during the meeting City with Atalanta as a precaution after suffering a thigh injury, where Guardiola since claimed that he would not take to the field on Sunday.

Prediction

Both sides know how big a win would be, but also know that a loss would be very detrimental. Liverpool is much more likely to go for broke from the city: despite it only being November, a win would see them with one hand on the trophy already. Guardiola and his team could not lose. Expect a cagey affair.
Prediction: Liverpool 1-1 Manchester City
