Done deal? Barcelona ‘signs’ star player and nobody knew

The first week of the January transfer window is nearing an end and Barcelona directors have been hard at work in the transfer market.

A number of names have been linked to Barcelona and one Tweet has suggested that the Yerry Mina to Barcelona deal is a done deal.

Barcelona have been after the Colombian for sometime now and already have a pre-agreement with Palmeiras.

The initial deal was expected to bring in the defender in the summer of 2018 for 9 million euros. But the recent decision of Javier Mascherano to leave Barcelona has caused a change of plans in the arrival of Mina.

There had been rumors about Palmeiras demanding more money for a January transfer, but a well known name in Colombia has jumped past all the speculation to say the deal is done.

Former Colombian striker, Faustino Asprilla, who is well known for his eccentricity, he lived up to his reputation by announcing that Yerry Mina has joined Barcelona.

In a tweet on his official handle, he wrote: ‘Welcome to Barcelona’

No official confirmation yet
Barcelona have not yet confirmed the transfer and the reports from the Spanish media still say the deal is not a done deal.

Palmeiras sporting director Alexandre Mattos has confirmed that club and player will meet on Friday to decide his future.

“We want Yerry to stay,” Matos stated.

“If Palmeiras are satisfied with a situation in which he leaves early, we will allow it, but otherwise he will stay with us.”
